Christ did not intend for God’s Word to be used only when in desperate need, but instead God’s Word provides teachings of comfort to carry with us all our lives.  Christ earned eternal life in heaven by living perfectly, yet decided to suffer an eternity of hell on the cross, so that our debt of sin could be cancelled.  Then Christ gave the eternal life in heaven which He earned to us through faith alone!  Our Savior’s Lutheran Church brings this comfort of God’s Word in truth and purity to everyone.
